The term graphic design can refer to a number of artistic and professional disciplines which focus on visual communication and presentation.

Although my skills are broad, I specialise in vector based logo/branding design, visual layout and promotional design.

What is a vector?
A vector image is essentially an illustration composed of mathematically defined lines, objects and fills. When a vector image is created, drawing points are created and connected to each other by lines and curves – sort of like a very complex digital version of connect-the-dots. Using a vector graphics program such as Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw, Freehand, Flash, Inkscape, or Fireworks, defines the image with a mathematical description.

My own studies on vector graphics revealed that he earliest vector program was pioneered way back in 1963.

This is my online portfolio/gallery of work, from personal artwork, secondary school, A-level, HND, private commission to degree level graphic design and freelance projects,

presenting a wide selection spanning nearly fifteen years. (1997-2012).

My work is varied, ranging from oil painting and soft pastel work to photography, typography, graphic design, print design, logo design and illustration.

Graduating from The University Of Salford in June 2008 with an honors degree in graphic design, I started 'designtony' one year after as a freelance designer.
